Yesterday was the first session for the brand new LTRC youth cricket program. Over twenty players turned out on a gorgeous Maryland morning, and after playing a quick “refresher” match, the players were split into three groups and spent the remainder of the session working on their batting, bowling and fielding skills.
The children, most of whom had no cricket experience (outside of their PE class) were very enthusiastic and eager to learn. The parents, many of who likewise had no cricket experience, joined in and became assistant coaches during the drills.
All in all, the Lutherville-Timonium Rec Council cricket program, which meets on Tuesdays and Saturdays, is off to a great start.

I am interested in becoming an instrumental member in your program. i have umpiring experience and have played a lot of cricket at different levels.
